How Do I Add a Shift to FISDAP?

Updated April 20, 2026

Once a student has been approved to attend a clinical or field shift, they will need to manually add the shift to FISDAP in order to begin documenting their Patient Care Reports (PCRs) and obtain end-of-shift requirements. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Go to fisdap.net
  2. Log in to your student account
  3. Hover over orange "Shifts" tab
  4. Click "Skills & Pt. care"
  5. Add a shift by doing the following:
  6. Clinical (hospital shift): Choose "+ Clinical Shift"
  7. Field (EMS shift): Choose "+ Field Shift"
  8. Once in the appropriate shift, a box will pop up that looks like:
  9. Under "Field/Clinical Site", choose your site location that you have already been approved for
  10. "Base/Department" will be the specific station (i.e Acadian - Bastrop vs Acadian - Pasadena) OR may say one of the following if there is only one reporting station: Only, Primary, Station 1, etc.
  11. Date will be the date that you were approved for
  12. Start time will be the arrival time in military time (i.e 0700, 0630, 2000, etc)
  13. Duration will be length in hours (i.e 12, 24, or 48) that you were approved for. If you are scheduled for a 24 or 48 hours shift with the same preceptor, you will put the start time of Day 1 and alter duration to reflect how long you'll be at that site.
  14. Click "Save"
