Is Texas EMS School accredited?

Updated July 01, 2026

Yes. Axon Education's programs are approved by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), and program completion qualifies students to sit for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) exam and apply for state certification/licensure.

For the Paramedic program specifically, the Axon Education Consortium is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP).
